Question #1: Well, technically I guess I can say when I first opened the package I put the batteries in the controller since I got the limited edition bundle, followed up by reading through the game manual. When I actually started the game I jumped into Campaign, as I have done with all of my games. I'm much more interested with the story of the game, and Bungie always does a pretty good job with their games. And even with the hidden sub-story involved. Plus, it has part of the cast of Firefly in it, how could I not play Campaign first.

First, like most games I play when I first get them, I played the campaign. I just wanted to see how the story compared to the rest of the Halo games. That, and I like playing campaign lol. After beating it, I played firefight though. P.S.-Sorry for post above. accidentally pushed enter :(.

"Assuming you already own a copy of ODST, when you finally got home and tore open the package, did you play Campaign or Firefight first? Why? "

Well....
First i played campaign, I mean really. New Mombasa?? At Night? as an ODST?? Seriously how could you not?
I ran through campaign on normal (not to mention enjoying the stunning graphics) to get the hang of it before jumping into firefight (Last exit is my fav firefight map :D ). I then played through on legendary, which i actually found rather easy.
haha there is nothing i enjoy more than getting some sweet payback on a chieftain with a gravity hammer XD

I first played firefight and actually didn't start campaign until the next day. As an avid gamer, I enjoy single player games and wanted to experience my first play through by myself, so I would not miss any the storyline (a mistake i made in Halo 3). My friend and I had waited at Gamestop together for each Halo game and decided that we wanted to have our first ODST adventure with one another just like the previous games. No regret in that choice at all. The taste I acquired from firefight was amazing and still leaves me thirsty for more.

Ever since ODST was announced so long ago at TGS, I was drooling to play campaign. I meticulously poured through the trailer, looking for any hint about the fiction, gameplay, and cast of the game. I hadn't been as pumped for a Halo game since the first sequel. I found the game for $50 in the beginning of August on buy.com. Unfortunately, it took a whole week to ship after the release and all of my frat brothers got the game before me! They were romping through firefight, and some had even beaten the campaign. It was a terrible feeling, as they all looked up to me as the go-to Halo expert. No one else reads the books, bought the helmet, or even has a "ONEONE7" license plate like me, yet they got to experience ODST's gloomy glory first. When I finally got my game, my friends were just finishing up a firefight match and were ready for more. I selected Johnson, changed my emblem to the Superintendent, and fired up the fight. We got rocked on Crater, but hot damn was it fun.

I own the game, I played campaign first...and heres why- YEAH I WAS SO PUMPED WHEN I GOT HALO 3 ODST!!! I went and got it the day it came out. I had been sick for a week and a half and was starting to get better the day it came out. BUT...i had a week and a half...home alone...and i was VERY busy NOT owning the game and it was KILLING me. So i googled and youtubed every thing i could about the game getting absolutely pumped. And even forged a few hundred uber awesome maps on halo out of due to NotOwningODST-itis and i was home alone for the majority of that week and a half...and i thought and thought about what i was going to play first. At first i was all like "YEAH! FREAKIN' PUMPED! JACKED! FIREFIGHT!!! because I had played other campaigns of Halo before and they were great. BUT...the new FIREFIGHT survival mode?!?! SO TEMPTING!!! but then i thought some more...and decided i shouldn't play firefight until I know the background to the story(plus i wanted to unlock more characters and areas for firefight) So i started campaign and it was pretty cool...then i learned that in ODST you start getting hurt alot quicker *cough* ON LEGENDARY *cough* Unlike some of my friends, i wasn't all whiny, i was like "OH YEAH!!! CHALLENGE!!!" and I have beaten campaign on normal quickly in like less than a day and a half of school, homework and some X-BOX time. THEN i got down to business on the firefight and it was SO EPIC!!! Anyways, I could go on for hours, but thats my story. Thanks :D

What was the first thing I did? Being that I am a new fan to Halo I am really interested in the Story. I believe that the backstory is one of the main reasons I still play Halo 3 because the attention to detail is amazing. I first jumped into campaign as you guessed. I believe that the opening drop see was extrememly well done and I hope that bungie continues to make Halo games. Thank you for this contest it is very genourous of you.
