I just want to say congrats. I’m glad you both found one another. I met my fiance through Halo 3. A week after I got my Xbox 360. We spoke numerous of times and joked around about having a Halo 3 wedding. We didn’t expect to fall in love. But we did. Now we are together with a wedding in less than a year. Our anniversary Jan 23rd, 2011.

P.S. Bungie is good at matchmaking without meaning to. I know of 3 other couples that all got together via Halo (Either Halo 2 or 3, or ODST)

I also met my boyfriend on Halo 2 and your story just made me smile… I WAS having a bad day but seeing the clips of your big day just made me feel so much better! Its funny cause My Boyfriend and I have been playing together for about 2 years and we’ve been dating for 1 and everyone finds it funny that we met like that but I must say that its made our relationship alot stronger when we first got together, On my myspace I put the motto of my profile as ” A match Made In Halo” Hahaha…. I got a big kick out of seeing that you had that same theme for your wedding We even Have similar insignias, My boyfriend has the Valkery symbol and I have the plain heart. … So needless to say that the whole thing hit close to home But anyways… again I just wanted to wish you guys all the happiness in the world… Best wedding ever!!! Thanks for the congratulations! We’ve gotten quiet a few messages from other couples who met playing Halo 2. What most people don’t realize is that love can blossom under any circumstances if people allow it to. Too many people close themselves off from new experiences. But we know better don’t we?

Hey I know it’s random but I just had to say congrats on your wedding!
I came across your story on geekology and found it completely heart warming!

It even gave me the courage to reconnect with my best friend. (We had met through on online game and had been together for years before finally realizing we had to give up our love while we finished college.) I sent him an e-mail about the story and it got us talking even more and now we’re even trying to set up more game times.

I’m probably like the five hundred other random people emailing you, but I am planning a wedding, too. I love how yall are making it completely unique to you! We have a much different passion in life
(sailing) and are infusing that into our wedding in every way possible. But, I would like (trying to cut back on “want”) everything to be “us” and everyone to be there to take part in our day (no weekday wedding for us, either).

I happened to decide I wanted to check Twitter again and noticed that your Twitter account was following mine. Went to the site and I love your idea of a Halo themed wedding, I have been a fan of the series since the launch date of Halo: CE. But unfortunately I can not offer much, financially I am tied down and I can’t offer to help with making replicas. I hope this works out for you guys because I wanna hear about it on the news or on one of the Bungie updates on Bungie.net. Go get ‘em soldiers, and most importantly…Believe. The series may have been a few games, but to those who listened and dug into the story layed in between each encounter…a message was laid out. Many in fact. I want to end this e-mail with a quote that I feel conveys just a small portion of the message these games leave in their wake.
