I know I’m a tad late, but this is worth showing again…. and again…

343i is taking Halo 4 multiplayer to a whole new level ; adding what will be known as

“Halo Infinity”

Your SPARTAN -IV model soldier is stationed on Infinity, the UNSC’s largest fleet ship. With Infinity, 343i is turning your Halo multiplayer experience into a story, re-defining it. This is introducing Spartan Ops and War Games as game modes to dive into. Yet, MORE stuff I’m really interested in. I’m so… SO curious…

Spartan Ops: The story of the UNSC Infinity intersects with the “Halo 4” campaign, then continues on in a brand-new, story-driven experience known as Spartan Ops. A first of its kind and exciting new addition to the “Halo” franchise, Spartan Ops is an episodic adventure that blends immersive storytelling, high-quality cinematics, and action-packed gameplay to deliver an unprecedented serialized experience.
War Games: The competitive multiplayer modes of “Halo 4,” known as War Games, take place on the combat deck of the UNSC Infinity and revive the visceral and immersive experiences that “Halo” multiplayer is famous for. “Halo 4” introduces fresh, immersive new game modes and strategies to help you progress your Spartan-IV career, while also delivering an experience that’s still distinctly and uniquely “Halo.” More details on all the modes of War Games will be released at a later time.

Angry Birds: Space released today

Spaaaaaaaace!!! Thanks to Portal 2′s Spaaaace Core, I will probably always over extend that word.

Angry Birds Space chimes in at $0.99 for the iPhone, iPod Touch, $3 on the iPad , $5 in the Mac App Store, and Windows users can buy the game directly from Rovio for $6 or check out a demo for free.

I’ve got the intro right here, (which also shows a new bird) and there’s a bit of gameplay in a previous post.

Ever get smashed in the face by a brute and wanna get some heated revenge? Yeah, Me too! Now’s the time…

BioWare has announced this weekend as it’s first ME3 Multiplayer challenge weekend starting tonight at 5:00 PM PST(2 hours ago) and run until 5:00 AM PST Monday morning. Details are as follows…

During the above specified “Challenge time” Each team to successfully extract from a SILVER challenge against the Reapers will be awarded a “Commendation pack” which will guarantee a random weapon from the Single Player Campaign Exclusive (Now no longer…) N7 Arsenal (N7 Crusader Shotgun, N7 Eagle Pistol, N7 Hurricane SMG, and N7 Valiant Sniper Rifle).

Now to make things a little bit more Rewarding… if the ENTIRE community kills 1 MILLION Brutes over this weekend’s “Challenge Time”, BioWare will award each and every one of us a free “Victory Pack.” Contents of this pack have not been fully disclosed. FULL DETAILS ARE GIVEN HERE, and I SUGGEST YOU READ THEM!

Not only do I want to get in on the N7 weapons, but I’m curious to see what will come in this “Victory Pack”, so let’s get to killing them Brutes!

Our boys over at Kotaku showed us some Angry Birds: Space. Now, we here at the AMMIH household, love ourselves some good mobile gaming… and an Angry Birds sequel is most welcome. This game looks AMAZING! I can’t wait to play it. Over and over and over again…. Wait, just one more….

Screenshot Sundays in Danger

Last week I came across an announcement on B.net stating they are no longer going to be hosting Halo related material after March 31, 2012.

No Halo

When Bungie finally announced that they were releasing Halo to Microsoft, I had a sadface. I could imagine this was like giving birth to a child, raising it passed cognitive development, then giving it to another home. Now what this image above says to me is that Bungie is now putting all documents and photos in a shoebox in storage… Only to be found in the future… bringing fond memories… and crying.

I have over 100 Screenshot Sundays posted with links that lead to Bungie’s archive. I’ve asked around to find out if these links will still be active behind the scenes, but have had no definitive answer surface. So, in fear of having to remove every single link after next month I will not be posting Screenshots until I work this issue out. I will leave them up and re-link to the rooted files. I’ll keep the links up, but will no longer be trying to find shots from their site. I’m not going to poke at a wound they are trying to heal.

DragonVale Love Dragon

DragonVale has made another addition with it’s Seasonal Dragons! This one is obviously in time for Valentine’s Day… and is probably the cutest yet…

Let me introduce:

the “Love Dragon”!

“The rare Love Dragon hails from the Western Slope of the Berrywhite Mountains and only shows up for a few weeks each year when love is strong in the air. Getting one of these lovely beasts is sure to inspire your visitors to buy flowers and maybe even find a spark of love.”

From what I see, you can obtain this dragon by mating the Flower and Lightning. This is only a guess by what’s in the description, but I’ll post the exact combination when I figure it out.

UPDATE: Confirmed! You get the Love Dragon from breeding the Lightning and Flower dragons. Lightning on the left, Flower on the right. You may get a few unwanted dragons, but keep trying.

DragonVale: A Zoo filled with Dragons

Nothing. But. DRAGONS! How awesome is that? Pretty friggin awesome.

Sick DL’d this game weeks ago for the iPhone (it’s also available on iPad) and I never even gave it a gander until a couple days ago. I was bored and decided to open it up and check it out. I loved it.

The premise is easy: you’re given a floating island to start your very own Zoo/Theme Park dedicated to Dragons. DragonVale starts you off with an easy tutorial on how to care for your dragons, manage your park, make money, and buy buildings and habitats from the market.

Everything is time based. Each egg you hatch, each building you put up, growing food, and breeding (yes, I said breeding, but we’ll get to that later.) — takes a set amount of time to occur.

That’s where a currency called “Gems” come into play. These red “Gems” help by speeding things up and instantly readies the task at hand. The tutorial sets you up with a few from the start so you breeze right through it, but these gems are limited, and to replenish them you have to Purchase them through an in-app market.
(DragonVale is a Free-2-Play iOS game with in-app micro-transactions.)

Now don’t get started on the whole “OH, That’s how they get ya” routine. These guys at Backflip Studios gave you an AWESOME free game to play. You don’t HAVE to purchase their in-game content… but if you like the game enough to play it, then they deserve a little somethin somethin to help bring you the next piece of awesome they’re working on. So buy some friggin Gems. AND, you should look at ALL the “Freemium” games that way. I’m gonna buy Gems JUST for the Strong Bad reference in the game. There are meme references, too. Let’s see if you find ‘em.

I digress. You can also earn gems through your Game Center friends. You have the opportunity to grant a certain number of gems per day to anyone on your Friends List. You hook them up, they’ll hook you up. It’s that simple… Unless you have no friends playing… Get them to. EVERYONE should check this game out. I want more friends playing too. (Hit me up! GT=PsychoVandal) You can also link your Facebook account to invite all those lovely friends, too. Friends, Friends, Friends!

Above is a shot of the floating islands. You get one to start, but after a while, you’ll have an entire floating fleet of them harboring your massive Dragon park. The amount of stuff you can buy is crazy. You’ll fill ‘em up quick when you get the cash flowing.

OK, to the Breeding. Each Dragon has an element type. The basic Elements are Fire, Earth, Water, Lightning, Air, Plant, and Cold (Ice). I almost said “Heart”… Captain Planet came to mind… Anyway, you hatch the egg, feed it to maturity, then send it to the Breeding Cave and wait for the “Magic” to happen. The cool part is that there are MULTIPLE Dragons for each combination, as well as rare ones that come from breeding the hybrids. I counted 32 types from different combinations, but I heard they’ve added MORE. I also assume they’ll KEEP adding them in the future. This just makes me think of Pokemon, “I gotta catch em all”, I know I want to see them all.

Anyway, I’m done telling you about the game. you need to see this thing for yourself. Go Download(desktop, click here to open in iTunes) this bad boy NOW. And, while you wait for that to happen, watch this…

The boys at Backflip have done good. Real Good. A great game idea with great artwork and usability like this should be in your Top Games folder on your iPad or iPhone.
