Hey! Are you the couple that got engaged in a custom forge map on Halo 3?

Sounds like you’re talking about MovieSign and FurtivePenguin. You can read more about them here. Our engagement went rather differently, though we give kudos for the unique proposal. Interestingly enough MovieSign and I (SickNdehed) are both Graphic Designers. What does that say about us? That we’re creative?… I hope.

Of all the games in the world to theme your Wedding on, why Halo?!?!?

If you’re still asking us this then you must have missed the most important part of this story; We met playing Halo 2. Our relationship blossomed and continued to develop while playing together in game. When we started talking on the phone our ringtones were the Halo theme. When we hear the Halo music, before thinking of Master Chief, Guns, Frags, Death or Destruction… we think of each other. Aww… now isn’t that sweet?

Couldn’t you have picked a better game?

No. Please see above. Additionally, since SickNdehed gets motion sickness and Halo is pretty much the only FPS she can play without instantly yacking, we’ll stick to this one.

Have you guys set a date yet?

For now we’ve chosen March 20, 2010. Although we wanted to go with our original Anniversary which is March 17. However that doesn’t fall on a weekend till the year 2012. Since we never really liked sharing our Anniversary with St. Patrick’s Day, we made an effort to think of some other meaningful dates. March 3 came to mind (shame on you if you don’t know why) but unfortunately that’s not on a weekend till 2012 also.

Feel free to suggest any dates you think we should get married on. Just check to make sure it falls on a Saturday or Sunday first. We may also decide to have it sooner or later depending on how quickly we’re able to save up money.

Edited : It looks like we’re close to finalizing a date. It’s actually much sooner than we were expecting. How does January 17, 2009 sound to you?

Why does it have to fall on a weekend?

Our wedding day is important to us. We’d like to have as many of our friends and family there to celebrate it. That being the case we’re making it as convenient as possible by not conflicting with the regular work week. That also means NO EXCUSES!

Where are you registered?

We’re currently registered at Target (for our gamer wants and desires) and Bed Bath and Beyond (for the usual household necessities).

What should I wear to the wedding?

Please come dressed in formal/semi formal wedding attire. We’re not dressing up and we don’t expect you to. Contrary to popular belief we’re not quite THAT geeky. Sick be wearing a wedding dress and Psycho will be wearing a Tux. We’re looking forward to having some pretty nice wedding pictures to look back on.

Is it true Bungie gave you Recon Armor?

No. We have not received recon from Bungie. If that changes we’ll be sure to let you know.
