Do you see this?! No… just NO! Why is it that local Co-op players get shafted when it comes to multiplayer? Is this supposed to be innovative? Ugh… so much wasted space… If you’re going to do that, use it for items, inventory, or some more awesome features. Something. Not EMPTY SPACE. I have bad eyesight; I do not like the idea of making my play screen smaller.

This is, without a doubt, the WORST way to do split screen Co-op. I really don’t know how this made it to the shelves. Who would EVER OK something like this? I hope this does not become a trend.

Devs, Please don’t try to reinvent anything that works fine the way it is.

There are going to be people who wish to play these games locally: with their sister, brother, or significant other. This bull where certain areas of the game get pushed aside to make more time for the larger demographic needs to end. I can understand that bugs slip through the cracks, but UI should never fall short. NEVER.

Edit: We’d like to say thank you to Darryl Farrell (@slfan68) for pointing out that the local split screen was the same in Resident Evil 5 while playing on an HD TV. I’m happy to say we didn’t encounter this while playing RE 5 as we were playing on 4:3 tube TV. From what we can tell, there is no split screen difference in RE 6 when playing on a tube or HD TV. In either case I can’t see how this adds to the experience at all. ~ SickNdehed
