No. I’m not going to play Activision’s Hunting games. Though, I should…
I’ve decided to back track through the massive stack(s) of games we have to go Achievement Hunting. I’ve actually started playing Kameo again. I got 140 points in 30 minutes and I realized how easy it use to be to get achievements back then. Now we have Seriously 3.0.
F^#!
I’ve also noticed quite a few things I do NOT like about Game devs and their Achievements. But I’ll get on those problems as we go through our hunting. “WE?… OUR?… Why PsychoVandal, what do you mean We and Our?” Yes, I want you guys to come along for these hunting trips.
And no, you don’t have to play Kameo. (Unless you want to help me with the Co-op- 😉 )
What I do ask, is that you guys help me through some of the later games that require co-op to get the crazy cheevos. (NO HALO:CEA- That is already reserved to be played with my wife)
I’m going to make this a weekly thing. I’ll post the games I played and the Achievements gained as well as what I intend to play next. Best of all, I get to play with you guys while I do it! In the recap I’ll mention who went hunting with me that week and who is in plans to join me on the next.
I’ll also be employing the help of 360 Voice and posting my Xbox’s Weekly Recap from it’s blog. If you haven’t seen 360 Voice yet, check it out. Here’s just a sample of what you’ll see there…
Psychovandal’s Xbox – Nov 21 2011
Psychovandal decided to play yesterday. Check out the 34,713 gamer score! That is a gain of 140 points over last time! He rallied Kameo finishing 4 achievements, Modern Warfare® 3, as well as checked out what was new in the live marketplace. BTW, that makes 10 days in a row! I think we can all agree that high-fives are in order. Give us the badge for streaking! w00t!
Now, 360 Voice is just that; Your Xbox’s “Voice” or it’s very own blog. I signed up for this service in 2006. I enjoyed it for a bit, but it’s repetitive posts got old pretty fast. I visited just for this post and It seems they’ve given it an upgrade. I was pleasantly surprised to see some new stuff there. They also hold contests for those who are routine Hunters. This has been going on for quite a while, but I was never THAT into it. What might change my mind is this “Group” thing they have going on. If I have enough of you guys that wants to get involved, I’ll make a group for us to compete with. Now, you can compete on your own, but I think it’d be cool to get ourselves a group.
Another site that will probably help us a bunch is Achievement Hunter, respectively. I know a few guys there that are always on the money when it comes to those PITA* cheevos we are inevitably going to come across.
I have a decent selection of games, but there are some that I have not been able to acquire. Gamefly will be helping from time to time, but We’re going to start with what’s in my collection. I’m going alone the first week to iron out a few non-social games. Next weeks recap will include the social games I wish to get started on. So, Those of you who are interested in Hunting with me, post below with your GT and games of preference. I’ll keep you all informed as we get the ball rolling.
I’ll post on my twitter account (@PsychoVandal) when I will be jumping on to play. Again, post in the comments below which games you’re willing to help out with and your GT. Throw me messages on XBL so I have access and can invite you quickly.
Now, let’s get this shindig started!
