Finding myself bored at home the other day, I decided to google A Match Made In Halo. I was totally psyched to find out we were mentioned on the Gamingtruth.com a website with Gaming News, Reviews, and Editorials. Click here to read what they said about us. Be sure to check out some of the other awesome game news while you’re there.

Additionally, I found a link back to us on digg.com which was pretty neat. So feel free to digg us if you can: http://digg.com/people/A_Match_Made_in_Halo

As of late we’ve been asking around trying to find the perfect place to have the wedding. I think we’ve found it. If all goes well we may even be able to move the date up. I’ll shed more light on this in the future.

Last night at Midnight PsychoVandal and I launched our site over Xbox Live. With it was a message to join us in celebrating our engagement by playing a few rounds of Halo 3. Big thanks to those who played with us!

There were lots of Congratulations and suggestions as well. One person mentioned we should get married over Xbox Live. lol Not sure how we’d pull that off, but hey, anything is possible. So if you have any cool ideas please be sure to share them with us. There’s a list of contact emails on the F.A.Q. page.

For the next few days we’ll be working to get the website out there, in addition to playing the new Legendary Maps of course! Be on the look out for a post about that in the near future.

This St. Patrick’s Day, while the majority of people were going out to drink green beer, we were preparing for our three year anniversary. We had already made reservations at The Orlando Historic Inn and were running late. I had been waiting for this day for a while. I had made the decision a couple months ago to propose to Sicky on this day. I had planned to ask her at the Inn, but things changed…… We got hungry. We decided to check in, drop off our bags, and then find a nice place to eat.

Neither one of us knew the area very well. I suggested finding a nice restaurant on I-drive and she agreed. We were practically down to the end of the strip when we passed Maggiano’s Little Italy. Sicky got excited as soon as she saw it. “Ooh, let’s go there!” I was a little skeptical at first but I’m really happy we stopped in.

“Nice place” I thought, as we walked through the revolving door. We were quickly greeted as soon as we walked in and were only there for about 30 seconds before being directed to our booth. I was surprised when I got to the seat they gave us!! It was the large C-shaped booth that looked like it could fit six. “Hmm…this could be good….” I thought. The waiter and busboys were very quick to make sure we were well taken care of. I’d have to say our server made our night before I made it better.

The food was exquisite! and the portions were HUGE, but I guess that’s what family style Italian is all about. Good thing Sicky and I were sharing our meal. Our plates were so big there was barely enough room for them on the table. As we were getting to the end of our meal it occured to me that this might be a better place to propose.

During our meal Sicky suggested I try applying for a serving position, more specifically a position at Maggiano’s. “This is it!” I thought to myself which is when I began to get nervous. I got up to go talk to the manager, and used that to cover my real plan. While away from the table, I also got the chance to inform our waiter that this was where I wanted to Propose. He got really excited as he considered what he could do for us. He told me to go back to my table and he’d take care of it.

When our waiter returned, he brought some chocolate covered strawberries topped with whipped cream and said, “This is on the house because you guys were so cool.” I grabbed SickNdehed’s hand, told her how much knowing her had changed my life. When I finally asked her to marry me and presented the ring, she didn’t just say “yes!”… she said “of course!”

We had a chance to enjoy our moment before we were congratulated by the Maggiano’s wait staff. In addition to dessert they even gave us free champagne! I’m very happy I decided to ask her at Maggiano’s. The service was excellent, the food was beyond that, and everything just fell into place. It also helped make our night that much more romantic.
