All That I’ve Missed

After a year of being apart, Psycho and I will finally be reunited this summer, and not just for a week but permanently this time. I’m eager to return to a less stressful way of life and am seeing lots of opportunity where before I saw none.

Needless to say, moving is going to be a bitch. I have so many items I will not be able to take with me, and driving 20+ hours in a moving truck sounds like oodles of fun. I’m sure my arse will thank me.

On a completely unrelated note :stops to wonder if she’s used that phrase in any of the previous posts: I played some Guitar Hero today. My immediate hand cramp was evidence it had been far too long since the last time I played. Psycho and I played Co-op and scored a 700 and something note streak which I’m pretty sure I wrecked. It may not seem like much to all you expert players, but I believe that may be my highest streak. I think I’m gonna go play some more. I’ve been stuck on the 6th set list on hard and I’d like to get through it eventually.

Before I go, I leave you with this… I’ve gotten a few requests to include more pictures, so here’s one. It was taken outside of Dr. Philip’s house in historic Orlando on our 3 year anniversary.

Running Around

A wise man once said “Sticking feathers up your butt does NOT make you a chicken!” and I completely agree. However running around stressed and unfocused can make you look like one that’s had it’s head cut off.

Looking for a Graphic Design job in NYC has just been oodles of fun, let me tell you! (insert complaints about the economy here).

All that aside, I just remembered that I mentioned writing about the Halo maps in a previous post. Unfortunately, after downloading them and playing one round of slayer on Blackout (A.K.A. Lockout) I was rather disappointed. In all fairness, I completely understand that it’s a remake. That being the case, the maps are inevitably going to be similar.  But I think I would have liked it more if they had taken the original Lockout design and tweaked it to incorporate more ramps, jumps, or hidden rooms, instead of just retexuring Lockout to look different. If there’s anyone out there that hasn’t downloaded them yet and is thinking about it, don’t. Um… lets just say they’re worth the wait.

After my depressing case of Legendary Map blues, I decided to play something new; Burnout: Paradise! Oh and boy am I glad I did! ( Why does admitting that make me feel like I just betrayed someone?) The first night I picked it up I played for about 12 hours straight. Vandal and I have been playing and trying to unlock all the challenges, at this point we’ve unlocked all the 2 player, 3 player, and most of the 4 player ones.  If anyone would like to join us in finishing the 5, 6, 7, and 8 player challenges, send us a friend request!

Our Wedding plans seem to have taken a back seat to things like paying the rent, and keeping food on the table. But alas, it is what it is.

Vandal is flying in tomorrow from Orlando. We haven’t seen each other since we got engaged 2 months ago, so I’m sure you all know what that means. Playing Halo split screen sucks! pfff…. what were you thinking? Anyway it will be great to see him. Maybe he can help get the feathers out of my b– Nevermind!

First person to comment/contact us with what movie the above quote is from wins a prize. I can’t tell you what the prize will be yet, but I can assure you it will be something hand made with love. lol… No really, I’m serious.
